Stop Talking
Talk is cheap.
But you still spend enough to get yourself in deep.
You’ve said too much.
And you can’t see that everyone has had enough.
If you could only let the silence breathe.
Fools are soon revealed by not listening.
You know if you could just stop talking,
You might hear something that’ll change you.
I’m stuck in a world where they can’t stop talking,
Drowning this void with so much noise.
I know if you could just stop talking,
You’d hear something to get you thinking.
Maybe that’s why you won’t stop.
Fill your mind,
Before you speak and leave a lot of litter behind.
Weigh your words,
You never gonna know where they’re gonna be heard.
